MacCaching has taken off a little faster than I had thought. Turns out many others are interested in Mac-Geocaching software. Since cmiyc.com was a originally my personal site (and really my web sandbox), I’ve decided to move MacCaching. The first thing to go is the Blog. The main site is now: maccaching.com and the blog is maccaching.com/blog. Everything else (news, downloads, and latest) will be mirrored between the two sites for a month or so.

Turns out my complier isn’t creating i386 (Intel) binaries correctly. So this is a quick fix for Intel users. If you already downloaded 0.2.4 and have a PPC-based Mac, there’s no need to download this one.

0.2.4. adds some key functionality while fixing a number of bugs. All reported bugs have been fixed, so if you see a problem, let me know. Download it from http://www.cmiyc.com/dl/

The new “Latest” Release contains the following major changes:
* In the Edit Coordinate dialog (double-click on one), links to Google Maps and Geocaching.com work! Check them out!
* A dialog will pop up asking which CacheList you want to transfer to your GPS, instead of defaulting to all.
* You can edit existing Caches by double clicking on them. (This is also a good way to view the extended Geocaching.com information.)
* gpsbabel is now embedded in the App bundle. You don’t have to locate it, I’ll always put it there.

- File -> Open has “.LOC” listed as an option, but it doesn’t work yet.

0.2.4 is going to be around the corner. Let me know if you run into problems with this (or any) of the “latest” releases.

Since this software is in constant development, I thought I’d start releasing my “in between versions.” These are basically the builds I use while I’m busy breaking the development code to do something new. If you run a “latest” release, please let me know what issues you encounter. From now on, they’ll simply be put at this link:

This one took me much longer to complete than I had planned. I decided to go back and fix things I was putting off. For example, the Preferences work now and the program won’t crash if you delete your Library. Download v0.2.3 Here.
